Crue bassist jumps into audience to grab camera from audience member at US festival as he continues feud with Godsmack
Camera junkie: Nikki Sixx
Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx jumped into a festival crowd and wrestled a camera from a member of the audience at the weekend.
Video clips show Sixx stopping the band’s performance and going to the edge of the Outlaw Jam stage in Frederick, Maryland, where he holds his hand open, demanding the camera is handed over.
When the fan refuses Sixx leaps over the security barrier and starts wrestling over the device. The rest of Motley Crue look on as security guards try to split up the fight.
Eventually Sixx is helped back onto the stage while the fan and camera are rushed away.
The bassist hasn’t commented on the event but recently updated his Tumblr account profile to read: “I’m a recovering addict. Cameras are my new drug.” He said on Facebook: “Major geekdom plans going down for me and Stevie from Buckcherry to each get an old-school black n white camera tattooed on us.”
Meanwhile Sixx has commented once again on the Godsmack track Cryin’ Like a Bitch, which is believed to be based on frontman Sully Erna’s experiences of touring as a support act for Motley Crue.
Asked by a fan “What is Godsmack’s problem with the Crue?” Sixx replies: “The singer is upset they’re headlining letter openings. I got no problem with that…”
who the f**k does crue think they are charging 100$ for a ticket. that much money i want pics and play a couple songs with the band. go away crue..your days have come and gone now all you are is a washed up greedy shitty band
Screw You Dude! Who are you to say ANY member of ANY band, much less any member of Motley Crue, to go away? Could you be any more jealous of them? And if you knew ANYTHING about Motley Crue, you would know that they are the farthest thing from washed up, how many other bands from their ‘hay day’ are still not only playing, but touring,making new records, being HONORED at the rock god awards, with ALL ORIGINAL MEMBERS! Still kicking ASS! today, tomorrow and forever!
Motley Crue sucks. They’re a trainwreck. I wouldn’t go see them if they were playing for free- they’re that bad live. Godsmack is still selling millions of albums- Tommy Lee just came out and said they won’t make any more albums because the album format is dead. That’s another way of saying, “No one buys our music anymore, so we won’t waste our time”.
Motley Crue RULES!!! I seen them in 89 and again in 99 and I will see them again soon, and their live stage show is still as awesome as it was then. Oh, but you probably wouldnt know anything about it since your more than likely still in high school! I’m not saying Godsmack is a bad band because I like em, but when they accomplish half the stuff Crue has, MAYBE then you can try to compare them, untill then stick to talking about something you might know something about like justin beiber.

Crue is great band, but this is really not cool…
Bah… they do suck live. They had their moment of greatness back in the early 80s but couldn’t hold it.
There are so many better bands these days, check out AIRBOURNE for example! Now that is one kick ass band.
They ought to thankful someone wanted their pic, hell they ought to be thankful there was someone actually at their concert to take a pic.
The junkie Sixty or whatever the trash is name is that thinks he can play a bass is very, very lucky I was not jumped on. I would have totally wiped the Nikster out. These pigs called the Crue suck and are a poor excuse for a human being.
GTFO. Talking like you’re all that and a bag of chips. Please, dude, if you’d even considered taking a swing at him you’d have had your skull caved in by the armada of security that were in the area. You talk like a moron and most likely act like one too.
The irony? I agree that it was a douchey thing to do on Nikki Sixx’s part. Going into the crowd and taking the camera? Not cool. No artist, however big they are/were/might one day be has an excuse to act like that to their fans, being as they are the ones who PUT them there in the first place.
Mad,Bad and Dangerous to know.
Look…I will be the first to say I am a huge Crue fan. I even bought tickets to the opening show in Vegas on Feb 3, 2012. Now that I said that…I am a little embarrassed for them when Nikki states that they want to go out like Zepplin…huh? Like it or not, the Crue is a novelty bad that has lasted for many years but most agree that the top music they made was Too Fast For Love and Shout. After that they had a hits here and there. They are bad ass looking and have an attitude which we love as Crue fans but they are no Led Zepplin and they are not at the top like he says…huh? At the top? No….they are not at the top.
Another point….Vince stated that he is thinking about quitting after the Vegas run. Nikki says that they are a tight band that will go for another few years up to five. Looks to me that the communication between Vince and Nikki sucks which is has since the beginning. As you can see…Nikki, Mick or Tommy has made any comments about Vince saying he wants to possibly leave the band. I’m sure the Vegas shows are going to be a happy event.
Now…as you can see from Nikki’s actions for jumping over the guard rail to get a camera?? He used to promote fans to bring video cameras and video tape the entire show!! He is stressed because the band is about to implode again for the …I cant count how many times. Nikki made a bad business move to act like that…really…what is the picture or video going to do to hurt the band…really really immature.
I think that we are seeing the end of the Crue here very shortly. Better get to Vegas to see them!!
