Kiss star’s girl not seriously injured in wreck – she holds “Sophie Survived” party to celebrate end of difficult week
Kiss mainman Gene Simmons’ daughter was involved in a four-car pile-up last week – but escaped from the wreck with just cuts and bruises.
Sophie Simmons, aged 18, was sitting in traffic while driving her Dodge Charger when another car struck her from behind, shunting her into the vehicle ahead.
She was wearing her seat-belt but the driver’s airbag did not inflate so she hit her head on the steering wheel. She was taken to hospital for checks but later released in good spirits, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Sophie’s mum, Shannon Tweed, tweeted: “4 car pile up today. My daughter in the middle. Not a phone call a parent wants. Sophie’s fine, car’s totalled. Not her fault. Frightening.”
The teenager, who stars alongside the rest of her family in the Gene Simmons Family Jewels TV show, later threw a celebratory party at a Hollywood club, tweeting: “You are cordially invited to ‘Sophie Survived Night’ – this week I survived being shit on by a guy, breaking my phone and being in a four car pile up.”
